Review: Nexcare Animal Print Waterproof Bandages

The folks over at 3M asked me to do a review of their Nexcare™ Animal Print Waterproof Bandages. The kids and I had a blast doing this – check out the review below and if you comment on this post you can go in the draw to win yourself 1 of 4 packs containing 3 x boxes of Nexcare Animal Print Waterproof Bandages.

THE PRODUCT:
The Nexcare Animal Print Waterproof Bandages come in a pack of 20 Animal Print bandages. Within the box are 7 different Animal Prints available:

Each Nexcare Animal Print Waterproof Bandage protects against water, dirt and germs with a completely sealed edge – 360 degrees, so all the way around. They’re ultra thin and use a breathable material – it even has a unique application design which allows you to apply the bandages with one hand.

THE EXPERIENCE:
I instantly tried the bandages out myself – put one on my finger and one on my hand:

When my kids got home, even though they didn’t have any scrapes or cuts, I still wanted them to try it on, so I gave them one each (Chloe wanted two):

Then I wore a new pair of sneakers and got a blister on my heel PLUS someone on my Snapchat asked me to put one on my ankle and see how it lasted:

I feel like at one point I had so many bandages on me haha

MY THOUGHTS:
I was actually blown away at how waterproof they were; I washed dishes with the plasters on and they didn’t come off. The ones on my fingers were a little different as my fingers sweat underneath, so I couldn’t get a proper watertight seal on it.

They definitely work phenomenally on a flatter surface.

I asked Chloe to wear hers at school and it stayed on ALL DAY. The plasters I used on my ankle (both of them) stayed on too: I was very impressed.

The kids absolutely loved the designs too – and would spend a long time tipping them out and deciding on a design to have. Heck even I liked the designs – that Zebra print went perfectly with my outfit LOL.

When it came to the kids actually putting the bandages on themselves, my 5 year old had no issues what-so-ever, but my 3 year old did. Which is kind of to be expected given he’s only 3.

Despite having a really great seal, I found that they were really easy to remove too. There was no residue left on the skin, and the kids didn’t cry when I pulled them off.
