Brunch Club: July 2015

Brunch Club July 02 by Happy Mum Happy Child

Brunch Club July 02 by Happy Mum Happy ChildAnother Mum’s & Bub’s Brunch Club just rolled around, and this time it was in my neck of the woods – South Auckland.

It was held at Szimpla, which I had never heard of before (slack, I know).  Szimpla is out by the Airport, next to the Countdown, tucked away underneath the Ibis Hotel.

Stepping inside and I was transported to a beautiful forest-like oasis.  Just absolutely amazing.  The food was delicious, and the helpings were generous.  The service was extremely friendly, which I honestly always appreciate, and the company was great – I think we all had a really enjoyable time there.

Brunch Club July 01 by Happy Mum Happy ChildAt our table we had wee gifts from The Kiwi Fairy.  Little wee fairy garden kits and accessories.  I WAS IN LOVE.   5 minutes into the brunch and I was already planning how I was going to set the fairy garden up when I got home … I mean my kids.  My kids would set it up :/

Busy Bags also provided a few bags for the kids to play with – which kept them happily entertained, while we chatted about parenting, blogging, wine, chocolate and even Magic Mike.

Overall, I personally had a great time as it was nice to be out, by myself, chatting to other adults who are similar to me.  A little crazy, mostly Mums, and also lovers of food hahaha …

Brunch Club July 03 by Happy Mum Happy ChildI got home and the kids set up their fairy garden, and I was so blown away at how amazing these wee pieces are!  It took a lot of strength not to shove them out of the way and play with it myself …….

Thanks again Brunch Club for another great get-together 🙂

It was awesome to meet you Maria! Since my little man won’t appreciate (instantly destroy) the fairy garden I’m now planning a fairy garden cake 😀 😀
