Friday Favourites: The One About School

CHLOE FREAKING STARTED SCHOOL THIS WEEK! And she did SO well. Today will be the third day she’s been there, and I hope today is like the others and goes well too. It was also a short week here in Auckland as Monday was a public holiday, so I had the pleasure of having Phil home for an extra day. Always a great thing.

Don’t forget this is a LINK UP! What that means is you can share your favourite blog from the week (if you run one), or perhaps something you have read. Just scroll to the bottom.

What has been your favourite (or least favourite) thing about this week?  Check out my five things:

FAVOURITE: First Day of School

I’m always grateful for the teachers at my girl’s Kindergarten. They look after my girl and help her through the rough and tough times. I know she holds her emotions in for me, but I also know she lets them out during the day too. I will be forever in their debt for helping to look after my daughter. You can read how her day went here.

FAVOURITE: Munch Lunchbox Cookbook

The lovely folks over at Munch sent me a few copies of their amazing Munch Lunchbox Cookbook. This cookbook is all about lunches – never worry again about what to put in your kids lunch with this cookbook. Loads of inspiration in here. Keep an eye out on my Facebook page for a chance to grab yourself a copy of this.

FAVOURITE: School Ready Kids

School Ready Kids is an educational resource for kids, parents and teachers. I got sent a Ready for School pack. In it contains alphabet cards, number cards, handwriting formation cards and MORE!

I was incredibly impressed with this pack, and as you may have seen on my Snapchat the pack is very cool. If you’re after a resource to help support your child on the journey to school, then I highly recommend checking this out.

FAVOURITE: Kim Thai Wanderlush

The kind people over at Impulse Beauty, sent me an order I recently placed and included Kim Thai’s Wanderlush. It looked amazing but I had no idea I was holding a coveted product. During a live stream on Facebook, someone told me “holy shit Maria I can’t believe you have that” ….

So yes, if you live in New Zealand, you can buy your Ofra products from Impulse Beauty. With regards to Kim Thai’s Wanderlush, it’s so popular you have to order it through their Facebook page, or through studiosecretslimited@gmail.com.

It retails at NZ $69.00, but if you mention my name (Maria from Happy Mum Happy Child) then you will get a 20% discount on any product,  WHOOP WHOOP!

Have you written a Friday Favourites Blog? Or perhaps you just have a favourite blog of yours that you’d like to share – well you can do it here! We want to encourage everyone: bloggers, parents, human beings, to look back on the week and think positively. No matter how shit it’s been.

Your hosts for Friday Favourites, as always, are myself (Happy Mum Happy Child), and Lisasaurus.

How it works:

  1. Copy the link to a post of yours: it could be your own Friday Favourites, or one you’ve just loved
  2. Click on the ADD YOUR LINK button, which is below
  3. Simply follow the instructions and post the link. TOO EASY!

Any giveaways will be deleted, and the link must point to a blog post, not just your blog. A link back to here, on your post, is always appreciated.
