Lizzy the Koala was taken to a wildlife hospital in an Australian zoo after being hit by a car. Of course, her 6 month old baby (Phantom) was with her the whole time.

According to the Wildlife Warriors, Lizzy suffered facial damage and a punctured lung. The Wildlife Warriors is actually the hospital that Steve Irwin founded.

After the surgery, Lizzy’s lung was repaired and she is apparently now on the mend.
How bloody adorable and good on them for letting the joey stay with his mum.
