Friday Favourites: The One About Kindy

Chloe went back to Kindy this week, one week before she officially starts School, so everyone had a bit of an up-down week. Myself, Chloe AND Ronan all struggled a bit. Chloe was tired, Ronan missed Chloe, and I had to deal with it all HAHA (and so did my poor husband!).

Don’t forget this is a LINK UP! What that means is you can share your favourite blog from the week (if you run one), or perhaps something you have read. Just scroll to the bottom.

What has been your favourite (or least favourite) thing about this week?  Check out my five things:

FAVOURITE: Kindy Teachers

I’m always grateful for the teachers at my girl’s Kindergarten. They look after my girl and help her through the rough and tough times. I know she holds her emotions in for me, but I also know she lets them out during the day too. I will be forever in their debt for helping to look after my daughter.

FAVOURITE: Farrah’s Kid Snack Wraps

We got given some of the Farrah’s Kid Snack Wraps to try out, and for me to do some work on, but we ended up needing to use them because we bloody ran out of bread! PARENTING FAIL! We had leftover Roast Beef Wraps for dinner, and then for two days Chloe had them for her lunch. She loved them! They’re the perfect size for little hands – although Phil had to have several to appease his appetite HAHAHA

FAVOURITE: PlanetBox Rover

I splurged out and spent $130 NZD to buy the PlanetBox Rover (see picture below) so that I could review it on my website. I did die a little inside when I pressed “confirm” on that purchase … I mean, it is just a lunchbox! But I seriously cannot deny that it is pretty cool. Keep an eye out on my page for the official review!

FAVOURITE: My Kids

So my girl had an emotional week at Kindy (just getting back into the swing of things), and my boy missed my girl, and me … well I’m just nuts. I had a couple of rough days myself but you know what surprised me – how amazing my kids were. They fought like dogs, but played nicely at the same time. On Thursday when I had a tough afternoon, my kids BOTH cleaned up the living room without me asking. I almost cried when I realised what they had done.

FAVOURITE: Friends

Over the years I haven’t accumulated THAT many friends. I can call a handful my true friends, but that’s it. Since I started blogging I’ve made several new friends and I’m ridiculously grateful. It’s so nice to be able to have a good yarn about parenting and all things in-between. Not just with old friends, but with new ones too.

FAVOURITE: The Parenting View

I started The Parenting View Support Group on Facebook. This is a group for ALL parents, grandparents, step parents, etc – it’s like an online coffee group where people can come to discuss all things parenting. Only no medical questions, no vaccination posts and NO Dad slagging! If you haven’t joined the group, then would love to have you over!

Have you written a Friday Favourites Blog? Or perhaps you just have a favourite blog of yours that you’d like to share – well you can do it here! We want to encourage everyone: bloggers, parents, human beings, to look back on the week and think positively. No matter how shit it’s been.

Your hosts for Friday Favourites, as always, are myself (Happy Mum Happy Child), and Lisasaurus.

How it works:

  1. Copy the link to a post of yours: it could be your own Friday Favourites, or one you’ve just loved
  2. Click on the ADD YOUR LINK button, which is below
  3. Simply follow the instructions and post the link. TOO EASY!

Any giveaways will be deleted, and the link must point to a blog post, not just your blog. A link back to here, on your post, is always appreciated.

Submissions open every Friday at 7am.
