I headed off to my local Supermarket and picked up three different types of Sistema Lunch Boxes. I have already reviewed the Sistema Bento Box separately, but felt like I wanted to cover more of the range as there’s so many options! In here is the Sistema Lunch Pack, The Sistema Lunch Tub, and the Sistema Triple Split. Obviously there are more out there than this, but I have chosen these three to focus on.

Sistema Lunch Pack
Price: $16.99
Rating: 9/10
My Thoughts:
The Sistema Lunch Pack contains a 4 section lunch box AND a drink bottle. The lunch box contains a separate section for a sandwich, and then three snack compartments PLUS a lidded container. The lunch box is generous in size, and although the compartments don’t seal individually, they come close enough that the food won’t travel between the compartments. The entire lunch box lid is also hinged attached – meaning your child won’t lose it.
The only reason I didn’t give this a 10/10, is that it appears to possibly be for an older child – the drink bottle isn’t really suitable for younger kids. In saying that the entire lunch box is perfect for a kid IMO.
Durability:
Feels pretty durable.
Cleaning:
Relatively easy to clean – especially because there aren’t many extra attachments.
The Apple / Yoghurt Test:
YES you can fit both a whole apple AND a pottle of yoghurt in this lunch box.
Can my 3 year old open it? YES
Can my 5 year old open it? YES
Where To Buy:
You can buy the Sistema range of lunch boxes from your local supermarket, The Warehouse, Farmers, Kmart, The Storage Box, or Google it!

Sistema Lunch Box Tub
Price: $9.99
Rating: 7/10
My Thoughts:
The Sistema Lunch Box Tub is quite large in size and has two levels to it. As you can see from the image above, the top layer has a sandwich sized compartment, and two snack compartments (with lid). The leftover compartment underneath is very generous in size. You can easily fit a yoghurt and a smallish apple in here. My only issue is that the bottom compartment is so big you’d need to either wrap your child’s food up individually, or wedge everything in very tightly. Otherwise the food will move around.
Having to wrap the food up may go against the school / education facilities guidelines as a lot of places are now rubbish free. The lid for the entire lunch box also removes completely. Because the lunch box is so big, it also might be too big for your child’s bag.
Durability:
Feels ok, although if you stood on it, it might break.
Cleaning:
Relatively easy to clean – especially because there aren’t many extra attachments.
The Apple / Yoghurt Test:
Whole Apple = NO. Pottle of Yoghurt = YES.
Can my 3 year old open it? YES – JUST
Can my 5 year old open it? YES

Sistema Triple Split Lunch Box
Price: $16.99
Rating: 9/10
My Thoughts:
The Sistema Triple Split lunch box is pretty simple – three compartments and an extra container (as you can see from the image above). The lunch box is generous in size, and the although the compartments aren’t air tight, they do appear to seal relatively closely together. Meaning your food won’t travel between the compartments.
The lid isn’t attached, so your child may lose this. Overall it’s a great lunch box but just like the Sistema Lunch Box Tub, the food may travel around in the sandwich compartment as it is quite large. You could fix this by wedging in a whole apple AND a yoghurt to hold the sandwich in place (if you don’t want to use plastic wrap).
Durability:
Feels pretty durable. Have seen several people comment saying that it’s very sturdy.
Cleaning:
Relatively easy to clean – especially because there aren’t many extra attachments.
The Apple / Yoghurt Test:
YES you can fit both a whole apple AND a pottle of yoghurt in this lunch box.
Can my 3 year old open it? YES
Can my 5 year old open it? YES
