Aaah the school holidays. The period of time during the year when a child gets a break from school to relax, chill out, and not worry about school.
WRONG.
The school holidays are a period filled with kids saying “I’m bored”
And “I’m hungry”
OMG the constant eating.
NONE OF IT EVER ENDS. Pretty much not for at least 18 years regardless of whether they’re on school holidays or not …
So you take them out, to give them a change of scenery. Cos you’re a good Mum like that, changing it up and shit.
AND THEY STILL FIGHT, AND MOAN.
You can give them ultimatums, and enforce them, but it’s still so frustrating.
So you take them home, all angry and shit
And they’re still freaking hungry AND bored
AND THEY STILL FIGHT
So you let them go for it and don’t give a shit
And you cook chicken nuggets for dinner …
And you pour yourself a wine
And remember that you’ve got to do it all again tomorrow …
