Netflix Now Has ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ Videos
You guys know I love Netflix. I watch it almost every day (just finished watching Mission Impossible). Not to mention after school / kindy I let the kids watch it too (SHOCK HORROR).
When I switched it on yesterday, I noticed it now has a new show that allows kids (or you) to choose their own adventure.
Like the books we used to read when were younger.
And before you say “gees your kids shouldn’t be watching TV like that” … I’m ok with my kids watching TV every now and then. I think it’s neat that kids will now have the option to control a part of the story!
Yesterday Netflix unveiled this new type of viewing that allows your children (or you if you’re that way inclined) to pick your own adventure. To shape the way the story is told; to be able to actively make decisions on the way the show goes.
Puss in Book: Trapped in an Epic Tale is the first interactive show, and my kids and I watched it yesterday and had a blast with it!
This is perfect for rainy days, family movie nights, or when you’re just down-right tired and need a break (and your kids need a break too).
I can tell you this right now, as an adult having control over a show like this has me chomping at the bit. I LOVE IT!
Puss in Book: Trapped in an Epic Tale launched globally yesterday, Buddy Thunderstruck: The Maybe Pile is coming soon on July 14, and the third branching narrative Stretch Armstrong: The Breakout is in the works, coming to Netflix next year.
Have you seen this new interactive show on Netflix? What do you think?
