That’s right, New Zealand’s first Lego Store is opening, and it’s happening right here in Auckland. I know that’s frustrating for the rest of New Zealand – but at least it’s a start, and it’ll finally be here in NZ!
The Lego Store will officially be officially opening its doors on Thursday 31st October 2019 at Westfield in Newmarket. I’ve actually been invited along to a preview of the store on the 30th October; and I am beyond excited.
The Lego Store itself will be located on Level 3 of the brand new Westfield in Newmarket. It’s the first store of it’s kind in New Zealand and it will be a custom-built interactive retail space.
It will of course include 3D Lego brick models. Some of which are inspired by New Zealand icons such as the Auckland Skyline, and the ever impressive bungee jump.
More than 600 hours have been spent on setting up the Lego Newmarket store, and I think it will be a must for people to visit.
There will also be other activities within the store such as the Pick A Brick wall, Build Your Own Minifigure stations and Lego play tables.
The store will also have a large range of Lego products, including hard-to-find items.
I don’t know about you but I am so excited about this. I know a lot of you will be annoying it’s in Auckland, but let me just sat that this is just the beginning. Once in the NZ door, I’m sure they will expand to other regions of NZ.
But I will be enjoying the close proximity as both of my kids absolutely adore Lego.
