When I hear “bring a plate” or see the words, my pulse starts to race. I start getting sweaty palms and suddenly I’m like “What is food?” … what food do people eat? Bananas! Apples. SAUSAGES! My mind draws a blank, and if a thought forms it’s a dumb one. I suddenly become an idiot (well more of one).
